Our History

SUPERHighway Data Products (SUPERDATA) opened it's doors for business in 1994.  Our original purpose was to create a car database system on the Internet for local area (Connecticut) car dealers.  With a number of large area car dealerships signed up, our flagship service (CARnet) was off and running, soon followed by our directory service, DEALER.COM.

The service offered web hosting, design and email services to those car dealerships, while DEALER.COM offered a database for web surfers to look up used and new cars on the dealership lots, complete with pictures.

In 1996, we branched out, offering design and maintenance of computer systems, networks and Internet connectivity to our clients, while continuing to grow the web design, hosting and email services.

1997 brought about some major growth for SUPERDATA, increasing our Internet connection speed to a full T1 at our office in Meriden, CT. Our Internet based hosting, email and design services grew dramatically, and we added back end web enabled databases to our list of services.   

With the advent of higher speed Internet connections becoming a norm (cable modem and DSL), we launched our latest service, monitored networks and VPN's in 2000.  Also, that same year we moved from our Meriden location to Wallingford, and then subsequently added a second office the same year.
